Over 75% of American families have at least one credit card (if not four or more!) and statistics have shown that credit cards are the preferred method of payment for most people. If you own a retail store, restaurant, hotel or other establishment providing products or services to customers- you absolutely must accept credit cards as a method of payment.
Total Merchant Services Retail Plan offers you the ability to easily set your business up for swiping customer credit cards and processing them for payment. Due to the lower risks associated with “card-present” transactions, retail merchant accounts have lower fees than Internet Plans. You will only pay .20 cents per transaction and 1.77% discount rate to accept Visa and Mastercard at your establishment. The monthly statement fee is a very affordable $8.95.
Not only does Total Merchant Services work with all of the major point of sale terminal manufacturers (Verifone, Dassault, Hypercom, and Nurit), they also offer discounts on the purchase of terminal equipment. If you are in need of the terminal equipment at your business, you can lease for as low as $19.95 a month or purchase your own for as low as $399. If you already have your own point of sale equipment, it can be reprogrammed to work with your Total Merchant Services Retail Plan, so there is no need to purchase or lease additional equipment.
Getting accepted for a Total Merchant Services Retail Plan is easier than you might think. As long as your business is an acceptable type of business, you are likely to get approved for one of the different levels of retail plans available. The different levels of retail plan merchant accounts are based on your processing requirements and the percentage of card-present transactions you will process versus card-not-present transactions.
