As the number of home based businesses increase, so have the number of options available to home business owners for processing credit cards. Paynet Systems offers two merchant account options to meet the unique and complex card processing requirements of home-based business owners.
The Paynet Systems Home Based Plan Option 1 does not require that you process a minimum amount each month. There are also no annual membership fees, application fee, or daily batch processing fees with any of the Paynet Systems merchant accounts. For the ability to process credit cards as needed, you pay a slightly higher monthly statement fee than some of the other options, although still extremely affordable at just $10 per month. The Visa and MasterCard discount rate is 2.30% and you’ll pay .25 cents per transaction processed.
How do you process credit cards from home? Typically, home based business owners accept orders over the phone, by mail, or through fax. In order to process these orders, you’ll need to have access to a system that allows you to manually enter the payment details of your customers. A virtual terminal through Paynet Systems is likely your best option, although you could also choose from specialized software or a small manual unit to enter transactions, called the Tranz 330. The Tranz 330 might be the perfect option for home based business owners that travel to trade shows, flea markets, or actually go to their customer’s homes to conduct business. Additionally, Paynet Systems Home Based Plan Option 1 allows merchants to call in and verify credit card details and get payment authorization over the phone.
If your home based business has the need to process cards on a face-to-face basis, there are several point of sale terminals available to meet those needs as well, through Paynet Systems Home Based Plan Option 1.
