Wsj Prime Rate

The WSJ (Wall Street Journal) Prime Rate is a prime rate index that is recognized around the world. It is one of many indexes but the significant way the WSJ Prime Rate differs from the others is its update frequency. Rather than changing regularly, the WSJ Prime Rate only changes when the results of a Wall Street Journal study show that 23 of the 30 largest banks in the nation have changed their rates. The WSJ prime rate can increase or decrease and the direction it moves typically coincides with the decisions that are made by the Federal Reserve Board.
