Morgan Stanley knows how difficult it can be to get credit as a student. In order to assist students in this difficult time, they’ve created the Discover Student Platinum Card. A card designed with the typical student in mind, but with all the benefits a person could expect from a platinum credit card, this card is sure not to disappoint. A rewards program that will give the highest rewards for the things students purchase most, including 5% back on purchases made at bookstores, restaurants, gas stations and home improvement stores. All other purchases receive 1% cash back. Your Discover Student Platinum Card rewards can be redeemed in whatever manner you choose, but the most advantageous way to redeem your rewards is to redeem through one of the bonus merchants for double the rewards! Other options include applying your rewards to your credit card balance to reduce the amount you owe, or requesting a check in the mail for your rewards value. You can let your rewards balance grow as much as you want, since there is no limit and no expiration date on the rewards you’ve already earned. Discover Student Platinum Card doesn’t charge an annual fee, yet offers a wide range of platinum card benefits. You are entitled to up to $500,000 travel accident insurance and car rental insurance when you travel, and you are never held liable for unauthorized charges. Having a credit card as a student allows you to build your credit history, making it possible to obtain large financing in the future- for a new vehicle, or for a new home for example. Pay your Discover Student Platinum card within 25 days in each billing cycle and you won’t be charged interest or finance charges- yet you’ll still get the benefits and rewards!
