Small business owners benefit when they use the Blue for Business from American Express credit card, thanks to low interest rates and a rewards program that delivers travel and office-themed benefits. Your credit score should be in the FICO excellent range of 720 to 850 to apply as the card is only offered to qualified applicants.
For the first twelve months, Blue for Business from American Express cardholders receive an introductory interest rate on new purchases of 0%, and an extremely competitive rated on purchases made after the introductory promotion. If you've currently got a balance on a high interest credit card, you'll want to transfer it to your new Blue for Business card since when you transfer balances within your first 45 days as a cardholder, you'll receive a fixed, low rate on the transferred balances for the life of the balance. Balances transferred beyond this 45 day period may be subject to a balance transfer fee.
The rewards program for Blue for Business cardholders allows members to earn 1 point on every dollar spent. You can use the points you earned to book airline tickets, reserve hotel rooms, order room service, spa treatments, or access partners including Sony or The Home Depot.
Additional cardholder benefits include the ability to save on your expenses when you use the OPEN Savings plan; creating customized spending reports using the Expense Management Reports offered from American Express, and the ability to receive your account information through email, phone, pager notifications or your PDA.
In addition, Blue for Business allows you to receive additional cards for your employees in order to consolidate and simplify business spending. Manage your account online whenever it's convenient for you, and you can get emergency credit card replacement if you lose your Blue for Business from American Express. Review Date: 3/31/2008
