The American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card is designed for people who do not want to be held back by a maximum allowed spending limit. Cardholders pay their balance in full each month, but are not held to a pre-set spending limit. During the first year, cardholders enjoy no annual fee to get the most out of their card benefits and rewards program. Each year thereafter, the card has a modest annual fee which can be more than compensated for through the rewards program. For example, you earn one point for every dollar spent using your American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card. The points you earn can be redeemed through select retailers in the Bonus Points Mall, for travel purchases, or transferred to frequent flier programs. You can choose how to redeem your earned rewards points, and your points have no expiration date or limits to how many you can earn.
